You’ve got big night-out plans and now it’s time to get gorgeous. What to do? We have 5 handy beauty tips to try today!

The Bright & Bold Lip

Wearing a bright and bold lip color can be intimidating at first, but we say go big or go home! Make a statement with a super-hot pink, a flirty coral or a fire-engine red. Opt for lipstick over lip gloss– it’s a lot more pigmented. Keep your eye makeup simple to balance out the look. We promise, you’ll be getting compliments all night long.

The Winged-Tip Liner

Lauren Conrad does it. So does Emma Stone and Taylor Swift. The winged tip eyeliner look. You can use pencil liner, liquid liner or gel liner to get this look. Our fave are gel liners with a small angled brush – the easiest for beginners. Start at the inside corner of your eye and drag the brush across the lashline and past the outer corner of your eye. Use light strokes to draw the wing at an angle. Practice makes perfect.

The Accent Nail

Accent nails are a total conversation starter. To get the look, choose one finger as the accent nail, we suggest the ring finger and layer on sparkly silver glitter polish. Paint the rest of your nails a solid color like this candy hot pink. Add a clear topcoat on all nails to make the mani last. Celebs we’ve seen rock the accent nail: Beyonce, Vanessa Hudgens and KaleyCuoco.

The Deconstructed Side Braid

Having a bad hair day? Sweep your long hair to one side and make a super deep part with a rat tail comb, section your hair in three and braid loosely, secure with an elastic band and spray with hairspray to smooth away flyaway hairs. Cool and casual, the look can be created in just minutes.

The Emergency Kit

Keeping your hair and makeup in check all night long can be a challenge. Stash a few essentials in your purse for an instant refresh. Blotting papers are genius, they instantly soak up shine on your face. Stock your purse with 2 in 1 products like a color stain which can be used to brighten your lips and cheeks at the same time. And always keep a hair elastic handy, you can create a super high ponytail in an instant.
