A few weeks ago, I received a call from one of Call It Spring’s creative directors asking me if I wanted to model for their next spring/summer Lookbook. I was, of course, thrilled to be a part of the next campaign, and also flattered by the proposition. I just couldn’t say no.
The day came by really fast and we all met at the studio very early. There was a huge snowstorm that day and we were shooting summer clothes and styling open-toe shoes. How ironic, right? Anyways, the crew was nicer than nice and very comprehensive, since I am no professional model. They helped me out with my posing and turned the heater up to bring a “summer-feeling” into the room. We had loads of fun, listened to Kendrick Lamar (one of my all-time favourite rap singers), ate sushi and danced whenever and wherever we could.
We even shot a short video in which I’m playing with accessories and showing off my different outfits of the day. Speaking of outfits, I fell in love with every piece that I wore, from the black Lanvin jacket, which was paired with pastel rope wedges, to the pastel leather vest. Everything was pretty (the clothes, the hair, the make-up) and was well complementing the shoes.
I got to wear a lot of them during the day and as a girl that is a bit of a shoeaholic, I had to pick a favourite. It was a not-so-easy task but the red, floral wedges won the grand prize. They are very summer-chic but you can style them with socks for a more casual look. My conclusion: I don’t think the styling could have been any better. I enjoyed seeing everything come together and felt really at home.
As you can tell, it was an awesome experience and I’m very glad I could be a part of that project. If you guys want to see the final result, the pictures are up in your favourite Call it Spring store, go check it out!
