Awesome Apps to Download Now

Published 07/11/2013 by

Whether you’re an iPhone addict or all about the Android (we can be friends, right?), loading up on a collection of awesome apps is a must. Apps are functional, social and sometimes, just plain fun. Instagram, Snap Chat and Facebook are probably already faves, but here a few new apps to add to the mix.

A Beautiful Mess

Photos apps are pretty much our obsession. And when an app promises to make them more beautiful, well, we’re in. A Beautiful Mess let’s you add simple borders, fun fonts and doodles and cute phrases to existing photos. The app is super easy to use and the styling is tasteful and sophisticated. No surprise, since the app was created by Elsie and Emma, two lifestyle bloggers who run a blog by the same name. A Beautiful Mess is available for iPhone, with Android version due in two to three months.

Vine

Even with Instagram’s new 15-second video feature, we’re still shooting six second vids with Twitter’s app Vine. The app let’s you snap multiple clips and create stop motion videos. Another reason to try Vine? When the Android app launched, Twitter’s co-founder Jack Dorsey scaled the San Francisco Bay Bridge to shoot Vine videos (See them here). We’re impressed, that alone deserves a download and try. Vine is available for iPhone and Android.

Beautified

Co-founder Hannah Bronfman can be seen on Vogue.com covering Coachella and on the pages of The Coveteur showing off her home, closet and cool style. Her new app Beautified, allows you to book same day beauty services or the next day (after 6 p.m.). Score last minute appointments at top salons – haircuts, blowouts, manicures, pedicures, waxes and facials in an instant. Available for New Yorkers for now, the iPhone only app is set to launch in other major U.S. cities soon. Quick, we need a mani stat!
