French Girls Whose Style We Love

Published 08/09/2013 by

Maybe it’s their confidence or their carefree attitudes, but we find French women so alluring. They’re always dressed effortlessly, not overly done like a Kardashian – and we love them for that. Understated with just the right amount of personality, we’re getting inspired by a few of our favourites.

Melanie Huynh

We knew we needed to know her when we spotted stylist Melanie Huynh in pictures next to former “French Vogue” editor Carine Roitfeld. She takes classic pieces along with lots of black (a French staple) and adds a lil’ rock n’ roll to her look. An amazing quilted leather bomber jacket and killer sky-high ankle booties are two of her signatures. To get Melanie’s look, try the Linore 4” black ankle booties.

Lou Doillon

Her mom is Jane Birkin, the legendary actress/singer who herself was a style icon. So it’s no surprise that actress/singer/model Lou Doillon is following in her style footsteps. Sporting the same set of heavy set bags (we’re obsessed), Lou is also known for her vintage/boho style – we hear she shops at flea markets. To get Lou’s look, try the cutout Mariun or the Lastebasse clutch bag.

Emmanuelle Alt

Editor-in-Chief of “Vogue Paris” (we wonder if she’s friends with Anna Wintour) – Emmanuelle is known her for signature blazers, classic buttoned down shirts, skinny jeans (she’s got legs) and show-stopping high heels. She makes us want to invest in a killer blazer collection and statement women’s shoes. Items we know will get lots of mileage in our closets for years to come. To get Emmanuelle’s look, try the laced Ismaela.
