Talk of the Town: Our fave food blogs

Published 10/04/2013 by

While we love a good fashion blog (or two), we’re all about finding inspiration in the most unlikely of places. Enter the stylized food blog. We’re getting lost in their daydreams, stories and recipes –not to mention the visual imagery is beyond stunning. So in the spirit of sharing, here are our fave food blogs for you to see, try, adapt and salivate over (may we suggest eating before browsing).

1. Manger

Mimi Thorisson, half Chinese, half French, cooks for her beautiful children, ten-plus dogs and husband (photographer, art director and dog breeder) in the equally beautiful French countryside of Médoc. Expect a mix of rustic French dishes, photographs of crusty baguettes and antiquing trips to Bordeaux.

2. What Katie Ate

Katie’s photography is second to none. It almost makes us want to give up our day jobs and bake all day. Almost.

3. Sprouted Kitchen

In an effort to amp up our greens we’ve been visiting Sara Forte’s blog almost weekly (and have been indulging in her cookbook). Her photography matches her recipes: bright, clean and oh-so good.

4. Cannelle et Vanille

A former Basque ex-pat now living the US, Aran brings a sense of ease and effortlessness into her family life. With a penchant for all things sweet, her recipes more often-than-not start from her childhood and the simplicity of those memories and pleasures.

If you want to learn all things food and photography visit Vanessa’s blog, where recipes and images come together in the most stunning and inventive ways.

6. Lookbook Cookbook

Gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free –but trust us when we say this site is another but boring.  Photographer Jessica Milan photographs her equally beautiful friends chowing down on chocolate chip banana pancakes and raspberry tarts.
