If this collaboration is about anything, it’s about friends and creativity. Perry’s studio is chockfull of art supplies, past projects and tons of things to keep him inspired. It’s almost impossible not to want to get doodling after checking out the space.
When he needs a break from the studio, Perry often swings by Park Deli to pick up a new sketchbook or chew the fat with friends. He introduced us to the florist/skateboard shop/neighbourhood hangout last summer and, while we were there, took the time to create a one-of-a-kind Tin Can Vase.
Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to creating your own:
Peel the label off an old tin can and spray paint it a bright colour. Let dry.
Once dry, find the perfect permanent maker in your desired colour (Perry’s partial to the Faber Castell PITT Artist Pen).
Start drawing! Choose a pattern/design that can be replicated all over the vase.
